‘00 and ‘02 JT Flex masks

Collected these as parts of gear bundles on CL. I have no experience in the underworld dealing of old Flex repair and trading.
I did wear the third mask at OR SuperGame a few weeks ago. Otherwise these have been cleaned, but that’s it.

Mask 1 - purple/“clear”, born 05/2002
Band still has some stretch, no baconing
foam is crumbly
lowers are a little warped/squished, but not bad
thermal lens
expected scuffs from use
a little pink staining from paint of yesteryear
screws/posts are a little rusty
old JT logo on the lowers

Mask 2 - black/“clear”, born 04/2002
Band still has some stretch, no baconing
foam is crumbly
lowers are perfectly straight
single pane clear lens
no paint stains, just expected scuffs from use. Some rust where the lower screw is missing.
missing one screw/post for the lowers. The other is a little rusty but solid
old JT logo on the lowers

Mask 3 - brown/brown, born 08/2000
band is pristine - great stretch, no stains or baconing
foam is pristine - looks hardly used. Probably replaced at some point.
lowers have some distortion, but not bad
HDR thermal lens, but the iridescent coating is peeling off. Thermal seal still good - won’t fog.
no stains, very little sign of use
screws/posts have no signs of rust or corrosion
old JT logo on the lowers

These are all worth quite a bit. The purple IZE parts can fetch about 100 each in pretty used shape. Same for most of the other parts.

JT prices are starting to come down a lil. But on Book Face you can fetch a decent amount for what you got. Other option is eBay but taxes and fees cut into your profit.

Probably won’t find members here to pay BookFace prices.

If you put the clear bottoms back with the ears and clear frames you will get more as a package.

Those purple IZE bottoms will sell just fine by themselves. Make sure you ship the IZE properly they need to be supported they are always one bad storage away from the garbage can.

Those Clear bottoms are also the first run of clears not the remakes. So they are a lil more sought after. The fact you have the complete set and that they are not super yellow from UV and paint damage makes them a nice combo. Some shell marks but not super bad. May be worth getting some new foam and installing it on the clear frames. Or just sell it a lil cheaper if you don’t want to mess with it.

If your interested in trades I’m sure we could work something out on that clear set.

Clear/Black bottoms $300+ maybe $350+ for the entire mask with thin black frames.

I didn't even see those clear uppers and ears. You might want to part out the Purple Ize Bottoms and sell the Clear uppers and ears together. Those probably go for $125+ for the clear uppers and ears.
Purple Ize bottoms maybe $85+.

I seen purple bottoms fetch even more like $200+ but the Flex market is a roller coaster. I wouldn’t pay that for them.

DoDo brown IZE bring a a lil less they are around what the Graphite bring 150-200 complete yours looks mint probably closer to $200. Red, Blue, Purple are the ones that bring premium.

Best bet is wait for someone to post a nice build on Bookface / Instagram using what you are holding and list them high. That’s when the Sheeple really pay crazy money.

You'll do well will those. I've sold/traded a few JT IZE masks for a good return. Replacement foam is pretty cheap for them as well. They use the JTJTJTJT foam.

Guys also like to see the production date stamps on those, so when selling include those. There's usually one on each individual piece. It's the little circle stamp with the month indicator and the year in the middle.

Thanks, I used the date stamp on the lens frame to determine the “born on” dates in the original post. I’ll collect pics of all of them for the different pieces.

Good grief… I paid $50 for a paintball/airsoft box that included the purple & black masks, a B2K4, and a bunch of other random bits. The brown mask was $30 - my mother picked it up for me (to be paid back) but decided to give it to me in trade for a garden table I made for her out of reclaimed wood. I’ve already made the $ back from what I spent… by selling the airsoft equipment. I had no idea I was sitting on $500+ in masks.

I sold an old proflex of mine as individual parts, turned around a bought a new flex and had a bit under $200 left. On FB people pay crazy amounts for old flex stuff

Yeah it really depends on how long you want to sit on them. But you stole those masks for that price in the current Flex market.

All my prices are the lower end. I would say that is the lowest amount you should take for them but yeah you did insanely well. Older JT stuff goes for astronomically high prices.

Looks like everything here has been pretty well covered.

If you were to wait for the right buyer 350-400 could be had for the complete clear flex, same for the purple if you have the ears that go to it, if not it could still maybe fetch that since the bottom looks pretty clean.

Bronze is somewhat less sought after but will still fetch 250 plus most likely.

I recently came into a full purple set and broke it up between myself and a few friends for cheap(50 for ears,60 for strap).


Bookface will probably buy them in a day.
