Appraisal of some items for a friend - Sandana, Flex, PE bag

A friend of mine from the tourney days is offloading some of his stuff, and there are a few items that I do not know the value of.

These Sandana items

The HK headband I imagine isn't worth much, but I don't know the going rates for Sandana stuff.

This black flex

In good shape, XO strap

This PE bag

Wouldn't be surprised if it's not worth much, but figured I'd ask.

You're best bet for valuing anything head gear and flex is on Facebook sadly

See a lot of people claiming things are worth a ton there, but none that come anywhere close to offering what they say stuff is worth. If you want an idea on true value comparable recent sales on ebay minus 15% is best bet. If no recent sales then its a guessing game.

Those facebook groups are filled with people who think every old flex they have just keeps going up in value even though at this point it looks like flex market peaked 18-24 months ago, and prices have easily slid 30-40%, but people there claim the opposite thinking what they bought at peak prices are worth hundreds more now even though no one is buying at those prices.

I agree MCB won’t pay stupid prices for that stuff. So it’s not really a good judge of the market. You can look at prices on eBay as a good Measure. Tags condition oz weight denim play a big part so got to look at it all when it comes to Sandana. The ones that bring top dollar are like new condition because collectors want them. I think Sandana collecting has kind of fell off as Oliver Lang and Alex Fraige new brand is riding the current hype train.

Same thing goes for flex stuff condition maters foam shell markers. Those are older bottoms probably the biggest value in that. But black was the most common so not worth a ton. What strap is on it? Straps can be worth some decent cash but that one looks like a remake/ aftermarket. The woven ones are the collectible.

Bags are expensive to ship and not collectable. But thoes PE bags rock I use mine all the time when I go on vacation. It’s perfect size to fit a travel setup in. Best bet is probably sell that local.

The flex is $50-100 CAD. Really depends. I'm not super up on pricing but JT stuff has much less demand in Canada. He'll get the most money by parting it out on a US Facebook group (there's also an appraisals group).

Things to look at are the condition of the foam (tears, hardness, crustiness), bacconing in the strap and the age of the lense. Also what the strap is. It looks to be a printed strap? Those typically go for less than the woven JT straps.

Agreed with most on the flex. Non-thin frames won't be worth a ton, the foam ears might be worth some cash if they're in good shape. Bottoms will fetch some cash, but are a common color (all black) and have a scuffed nose.

All in all, not a bad players mask, but certainly not going to command the price of the shelf queens you see on the Facebook Groups.

If the HK headband is one of the early ones (which it looks like it might be?) it might be worth something to certain people, but your friend might end up sitting on it for a while.
