    Tippmann SMG60 & Pro/AM Values?

    Good evening!

I recently acquired a Tippmann SMG60 and Pro/Am while traveling for work and was curious of current values.

First is the Tippmann SMG60, I believe this is sniper model. It has original box, sling, squeegee, 10 clips, clip bag (I think) and booklet. Regrettably missing the tank. The marker still has the warning sticker on the forearm and looks to be fired very little if at all.

Second is a Tippmann Pro/Am with what looks like everything that came from the factory. It also still has the orange warning sticker on the underside and doesn't appear to have been used.

    What do you guys think??

(PS - Love the site, this has been a fun trip down memory lane for me reading through old posts. I can't wait until my boys get older and I can take them to play)

oooooohhhhh man. very nice. pro ams were what all my buddies had back in the day, but you don't see them F/S very often - its always a pro-light.
if your wanting to sell either please keep me in mind. The SMG is minty!

pricing is tough - no paint for the smg and 68 cal conversions rare. and the pro/am - i might be the only one who gets kinda exicted when i see one..... maybe $250 since its in great shape

$500 - $600 or so on the SMG? as always curious as to others opinions!

I used a Pro Carbine for a couple of years and I still have it. They are built like tanks. This fall I hope to break it back out and play little. Thanks for your input!

I just paid $425 for my SMG. It was more than I wanted to pay, but there has been a lack of them for sale lately. I'm thinking that's due to no paint for these. So sad.

Sadly the Pro-ams don't fetch much at all. You would be lucky to get $100 for it. Which is a shame. If you look on ebay you'll see some for sale with the case at under $100 and they are still there and for sale. Yours should fetch more due to the extras and condition, but don't hold out too high of hope on it

Also, don't know where you live but there is an SMG game in PA every year in June. If they don't hold it on my literal anniversary I'll be there next year to play.

When is it? We can work around it.

I bought my SMG-60 for $300 with clips but without the extras yours has or the box and in worse (well, modified) condition. Like Carter said no paint for them though, I think I bought Nelson's last case when I got mine, so I think it's a hard sell now.

Very nice pair of old Tippmanns. Like others have said, the ProAm is beautiful, but does not bring high dollars on the regular market. The $100 to $150 range is probably the best you may get, with patience.
And now for the SMG60. I have purchased about 20 of these in the last 5 to 7 years. For a while, I was probably the market for them. The average marker with magazine, alone, is worth between $100 to $200, depending on condition. Add in clips, tank and clip catcher and the value increases. Clips are critical for the marker to work. Original clips work better than most 3D printed replacements. The size of the magazine affects the price. They offered 5,10,15 and 20 round magazines. Here, size really does matters. There are other factors that can affect the price, like internal or external air line. Or early or late production front sight. The reason people think these are rare is because they became extremally difficult to field. The need for CO2 not HPA. The scarcity of 62 cal paint and FPO rules. The fact that almost all SMG60s were full auto from the factory, most fields would not allow them to be used. And then there was a program where you could send your SMG60 back to the factory to be converted into the new hopper fed 68 Specials. This eliminated the paint caliber and full auto issues at the fields. The conversion took the marker from 62 cal to 68 cal paint, that most fields were using.
The SMG60 you have is a very sweet package. First, you must realize, that although they are getting harder to find, they are not "rare". They made a ton of them. They require liquid CO2, read siphon tank, and 62 cal paint, read tough to find. Thats the bad news. Here's the good. The valves can be modified to function on HPA. Paint is difficult to find but can be found. Another good thing is the paint is usually old stock and does not break easily. We often reuse paint, picked up on the field, multiple time in our games. The Sniper, long barrel, and the Bull Dog, very short barrel, were produced less than the standard model, making them more desirable. As a package this is worth $300 to $400.
              I hope this helps. GLWS

Wake up early. Can't sleep late in the morning. And maybe I might have dreamed up something that drove me to the basement lair.

I've had zero interest in the smg I have listed with a case of paint, custom additions and a bunch of stripper clips....

Got to be honest I think everyone is over quoting the worth of these

They're one of those guns where the buyer market is small, but they're also rare, fun and unique. As a collector gun they aren't as rare as SMG-68s, but they're marginally more fieldable if you can get the paint, which is where the value comes from IMO.

Your marker would be sharing space at the arsenal, if I were still working. My days of buying additional SMGs have waned. This is also why I have not listed any for sale.

I’m thinking about selling all my SMG60 Tippmann guns , looking for a value for everything in the photos , 2 guns are 1986 and 1 is a 1987 ( I believe) the forth one has a hopper , Which I β€œThink” was converted or a couple years newer?? I have probably 1000 empty shells to go with them and a couple plastic bins with dust filled capsules . Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Sal R.

It looks like you're just missing 1 of the models(barrel length). If not, you would have had a phenomenal SMG/68 special collection. πŸ‘
Oh and unless they switch the tag also that's originally 68 special and not a conversion model. If that hasn't been established..πŸ€”
