I was wondering the status of FlagRaiders and if they were any closer to getting the special permit to operate their Paintball business on their old property again.

I found this article , and it sounds like the irritating Nimby neighbours finally won, and Joe Kimpson is selling his land.

The good news is FlagRaiders was \ is a pretty strong brand in Ontario, Canada Paintball, so hopefully if they can sell (or maybe already sold) their land, they can use the proceeds to move to a city in Ontario that actually appreciates Small Business Owners.

Yep, they are still doing the Bunker youtube show but I have not tuned into an episode in a while.

I think they are also pretty involved in the Ontario tourney paintball scene, and will do the camera and broadcasting and commentary of those bigger events.

Like I said above, they're got such a strong brand and reputation, I think they could pull back players to a future field pretty easy. I don't know what it takes to spin up a paintball business, but I'd assume they stored all their rental gear , and compressor, etc, etc, for the day they would reopen and that it would be easier compared to someone new to the business. I know in their past videos, that they moved much of their field props and structures to their current property for sale, intending to set them back up there.

I am still pretty shocked that in 4 years, they couldn't find a property appropriate to reopen on....I do wonder considering the trouble they had getting their special use permit from that local government, if Kitchener Waterloo / Cambridge area is a real Lefty , Liberal , Anti-gun area, who turn their nose up at a sport like paintball due to the use of our type of equipment. I hate that shortsighted view, because obviously they are not real guns, and the game itself is really just an advanced form of Tag in the woods, or on a themed field, with the majority of first time players feeling it was an exciting experience!
