It was dirt last year. They just extended the parking lot. They put us in the back bring something padded to sleep on or a cot. (Hard surface)
I believe it was all crushed stone when I went for ReaperBall.

Yeah driving stakes is tough in the compressed stone. I recommend sand bags or some such to tie off to and a comfortable pad.
-
Campers in tents should bring a well padded ground cover because of the hard flat powdered gravel. Hard to drive a good stake. Takes time. I suggest plywood with a good sleeping pad. I''m sleeping in my suv as its comfy. It's my crib.

Agreed I Camp in the back of the wagon. Memory foam mattress topper folded over and some Amazon car window screens. Sleep like a baby especially after a few drinks from the Bar and a kick ass day of paintball.
-
All about that upgrade life. We bought the roof top tent for the family last year. But 100% of its overnights have been stock class paintball so far.

Bring Charmin. Lol
Bring tic and bug spray.

Any trees for a hammock within the campsite? I never bothered to invest in a tent.Paintball Selection and Storage - How to make your niche paintball part idea.

couple things i learned from last year's events, I never attended before:
- no one prepared me for the night time traffic noise. earplugs or noise cancelling headphones are a good idea unless you are used to sleeping around a lot of noise
- pop up canopies and such are a good idea in the parking area as there is zero shade there. make sure you secure it somehow or it's going airborne like a kite, several go for a ride every year.
- show up in the morning ON TIME. Slim ain't waiting for your ass. Good chance the first few games of the day will be on the fields farthest out from staging to get the long walk over with. Then play several games on several fields, and come back to staging close to lunch time. So a backpack/etc with some extra paint and cartridges to carry with you on the long walk is a good idea.
- the bugs aren't playing around, be ready for them
- there is a Dunkin Donuts nearby and a convenience market/gas station right next to it if you need supplies.
- use an air mattress or cot if sleeping on the ground, a backpacking style pad probably won't be comfortable
I'm getting off the ground and sleeping in my new truck tent. Got insect screen for pop up in case the black flies get insane and I need to retreat.
I'll have a spare propane stove burner or two available in the mornings for coffee/breakfast if someone wants to use them.

Some bug spray, Tylenol, and good hydration, would be some good items to pack. Be prepared to play some laser tag after dark the refs kick our ass every year. Toast is usually around 10 at the bar. There’s a nice big fire pit in the stage if area bring some camp chairs. Something warm to wear is a good call it can get chilly at night.

Regarding camping...
As always, camping is available both Friday and Saturday night.
The "designated" camping area in the side parking lot is all the way in the back (the area that borders the Octagon field. As we don't have staff assigned to direct campers where to set up, players have usually just set up where ever they want. So far this hasn't been an issue, but if road noise is a concern, then setting at the very back of the lot is recommended.
There will be no logging trucks in use that weekend. The logging truck was an isolated occurrence at last year's spring game due to the parking lot still being under construction.
For anyone with a tent hammock - using a freestanding tent hammock frame is recommended.
The owner at Adventure Games has asked that tent campers and trailers set up as close to each other as possible and stay towards the back of the parking lot. We are not his only customers and spreading out all over the place hinders his ability to maximize parking for his other players. He will probably have staff directing SC players on where to set up. If not, please just park towards the back of the lot.
Shaftski's post above offers some really good advice.
A special menu at Snack Shot is being prepared and I should know what the details are by this Thursday. Apparently, the new chef there is very good and wait times have been around/under 15 minutes on days with heavy attendance.
That is all I have for now.

This is the first I'm hearing about the parking issues. I'm assuming it's a communication issue between management and parking staff. I will speak with management to make sure campers can come and go as they please. I'll also ask that the parking crew ensure there is some space between cars parking and the tents.
