Does any one have experience with either field as a walk on? Trying to find a field that has healthy rec play so the new players at work can enjoy relaxed play without being required to do a private group.

We played at AAA a few weeks ago and the owner really did not like the 3 of us experienced guys. Even accused us of wanting to use ramping mode and wouldn't let us mix in with anyone other than our group.
All three of us were using pumps....

Owner gave us grief prior to even getting onto the field. Suggesting the those of us with our own gear were out to hurt inexperienced players, before we even gassed up our guns. There were six of us, all friends. Three first time renters and three experienced players and we were not allowed to ask any other groups if we could mix in with them so we were stuck playing 3 on 3 all day.
I'm not trying to cast shade on the field, I'm trying to find info on fields local to the Syracuse area that might allow walk on rec play.
Our next outing may only have 4 of us and we don't want to be stuck playing 2 on 2.
APE looks like a great field and I really want to play their 5 man pump event, but their rental costs are really steep and we don't have enough loaner tanks/masks to float all of our new players.

Is the air ball field still in use up front?
triple A, has changed a lot, since I started.
Fun factoid, it used to be called Paintball park, then a new field started up near by, called CNY Paintball, so Charlie the original owner, changed the name to the AAA, specifically to be first listing in the yellow pages

Pay close attention to the Local Games section. There are tons of pump games and/or pump take overs.l, or just general play. We encourage new players , and smaller games give them a better first experiences to keep them coming.

Ive played both in the past
everytime, and i mean everytime i have played at AAA it was odd, almost like stepping into a private scene where your a total outsider and they are suspicious of your every move.
Ive been accused of cheating, ramping, stealing, fighting..........and the thing is, i personally know many people who play on the teams sponsered by AAA, but its stii a weird vibe
War Club back in the day was the shizz.............havent played there in about 8 years, the property owners son tries relly hard to make it a good experience, the owner when he was running the show was probally one of the people responsible for my 20 plus years of playing
take it for whats it worth,
try WC
play APE, lots of people rave about lil tonys place

Use to be Albany Scenario Club. APE (Albany Paintball Experience) is a great field especially if you get a good group of friends together. It’s also one of the few remaining BYOP facilities. They offer paint reasonably priced as well if you need it. It’s one of the less expensive fields in the area to play. The fields are a ton of fun to play. They are in the process of adding new bunkers to some elf the older fields. I’m excited to see what they add. The one they are working on I have always liked it’s going to play great with more cover. The local regulars are great ballers too. Lots of good competition and experience play there events.

Update:
We went back to AAA on a saturday, there was plenty of walk-ons and the guy that I believe to be the primary owner was not present so there was no challenging us as "ramping pump cheaters". It was a fun day and we are going back on Nov 2nd to give it one last try for the season.
