We are moving to Glendale this weekend!! It might be a month or so before I play, but I'm looking for input on fields. I asked on facebook, and was told to avoid Cowtown. No idea why. I like their prices and that they're BYOP. I'm assuming it's poorly run or something? Or basically a rental only type environment? People recommended Fighertown for rec, but they also said they play torso/head hits only, which I vehemently hate. AZBattlegrounds is apparently the go-to place for competitive play, but unless they do mech games I'm not really interested.

I'll hit up Tucson fields at some point, but that will probably be later on.

I see fightertown offers one free game to new players. That's a freakin awesome idea.

My teenager went last year (Desert Fox) for his birthday and had a good time. I hurt my wrist early this year and had to have surgery and just passed my 12-week point since surgery so can start playing hockey and paintball again. Since his birthday I’ve been accumulating gear for him and now that it’s cooling down I’m ready to try to take him out to play. When you visit down here post up and if I can make it out, I’ll try to meet up.

Yesterday I played for the first time in a few years. My youngest turned 13 and wanted to go. We went to Desert Fox, which had more players (mostly renters) than I have ever seen there. Must have been 60 total. We played a few games (group of 8) and then made an early exit to be able to meet the rest of the group for lunch. Ryan had fun. Got hit once, we won and he survived the second game, and then he had fun issues in the third game and I wasn’t close enough to pick up on it and see if I could help. Not sure if this is a revival for me or not, but yesterday was fun, then I was tired and with my normal headache (I drink more water than anyone I know, so it isn’t that) and today my legs are sore.

I should have clarified: It'll be a month or so before I have time to go out. After that, though...

Peeling off the old glue on my Profiler foam so I can rubber cement it in place. Washed the mask in the sink and lots of black dots were in the water. I’m guessing that’s tiny bits of foam so we will see if it survives a few days of play when I actually get out again.
