    FSR Rubber rounds

Well the short version is as I could not find any information on these I ordered some and weighed them for myself. Even though they look well-made and have the correct rifling they come in weighing considerably less an actual FSR which begs the question what use are they in sighting in my FSR rifle? I’m sorry but these are a fail I have waited for something like this better than the rap4 plastic rounds for years and this is a letdown. I never bothered shooting these as I did not intend to keep them but what would be the point when the velocity’s are way higher than an actual FSR.

They were probably designed for riot control. Not paintball

That was my thought too, but less weight mean less hitting power ... i would assume this is going away from what they want?
Unless they are expecting to shoot them above paintball field standard ...

Also, thanks P.I.C.T. Tactical for weighing a few for us 👍

Yeah they definitely crank up the velocity on those. And a paintball breaks on contact, dispersing alot of its force. This thing isn't going to do that. Think of getting hit with a water balloon vs. getting hit with a basketball

I know a standard FS round will stay together at well over 350fps and they only get more accurate. I have been hit with FS being shot at super high velocity and it’s not a fuzzy feeling. I imagine you can really crank a rubber one way the hell up. I certainly would not want to get shot with a rubber one.

Right which is why I have no use for them. I can’t imagine what the point was selling these to paintballers. Anyway, I discovered what I needed to, that they will not be the “sighting round” I was hoping for.

If your sighting it in just use regular FS and hang a towel with a target on it at range. Collecting them out of the grass.

These would be Riot Control "training" less lethal. Much like pepper spray and tasers most less lethal methods need to be qualified for use.... which means they have to use it on you. Don't forget that they turn all their gear up to the 350-400FPS margins.

It’s probably designed for just that didn’t someone get shot in the face and just die from a Riot round. I’m sure states are requiring training to use Riot rounds. Wouldn’t be surprised If this is a direct result of that. Training so they can say “we don’t train to shoot the face” when they get sued.

My small town local PD got a couple FN303's as part of a "Riot control, Less lethal" Grant package. State Law mandates that anything you're going to use on the populace that is less lethal the PD has to "train with" by using on themselves. (taser, pepper spray) and I just sent a txt to my dear friend on the PD and he said that the kit they got came with a bunch of rubber rounds marked TRAINING in big letters on the bag. He said that they will bruise skin under their vest when shot at very close range.

This may be a dumb idea, but if the back end of these rubber ones is hollow just like regular FSR (the fin area), could you fill a little epoxy or silicone or something into the back to make them heavier? It would change the center of mass though, so that would probably change the ballistics. Or is the front part of the rubber ones made hollow (the nose area)? Trying to understand why these are nearly half the weight of FSR, is the rubber just a really less dense material?

I thought about that as well but given there are 50 of them it’s just too much trouble for me personally.

Since there was no info on these I took the chance and wanted to tell potential FSR shooters here on the forum before they bought them. They are just like FSR with the back half hollow but I don’t know if the nose is solid rubber because they just don’t weigh enough, may be hollow inside.

Thanks for the report. They might actually be fillable for diy pepperball rounds or whatever.
