Your Autococker is still quite competitive, I'm sure of it. My go-to Autococker is a 2003, with a few little amenities.

I still feel competitive with my mag, too. Old stainless center feed body and Freak, classic valve, etc.

    Mags ftw!

I got my mag like 3 years ago now. It's been a slow build as I get cash and what not but it's easily my favorite mech at this point. In my opinion Tom Kaye was waaaaay ahead of his time to the point that mags are very competitive on the market today and still have features that mechs 2 decades later don't.

Automag was my first gun and Autococker was my second. I love them both. But the mags are hands down more advanced & elegant machines.

For a little while, it looked like the industry was finally seeing the wisdom of the Automag design. When the Phenom and TipX came out in like 2010 or 2012 or whatever, as well as the Invert Mini a few years prior, I figured we had finally come full circle. Now things are moving in a different direction with the Gamma Core and whatever SP calls their knock-off.

But it really took the industry 30 or so years to circle around to the Automag, and then finally surpass it in inginuity.

Mags have historically been my most favorite markers, but my GMek really gives it a run for the money.

I've been tempted to buy a phantom several times over the years. Going through my parts stash and figuring out what I actually plan to use, I'm going to sell off a bunch of stuff and roll the $ back into parts for projects I need to finish. Depending on what all I end up selling off I may buy a phantom or other pump.
