Alright ladies and gents, it's 2023, time to start thinking ahead to the only thing worth planning for all year. Throw those birthdays off the calendar, court case? The judge can wait! There's paintball to be played!
So, who's going?
Arrival date?
camping or the hotel? If so where?
Team?
Extra camping/hotel space?
Carpool available?
++++++++++++++++++++++
For myself
Arrival date? Thursday the 4th, around noon typically
camping or the hotel? If so where? I31-32 and J31-32
Team? Red /Bigfoot brigade
Extra camping/hotel space? Most likely yes, still getting a count for who is all going
Carpool available? I have guys coming from Tacoma South, if anyone needs a ride it will just depend on when but I think we could help out
++++++++++++++++++++++
For first timers, here's a few useful things to expect @Daltech
1) bring earplugs for sleeping. Yes there are quiet hours but "quiet" means different things to different people and alcohol sometimes plays with the volume controls
2) bring money/gear. There is a large swap meet. Lots of fun stuff. There are lots of cockers and pumps (phantoms are produced near by)
3) bring a pump or mag feed if playing the Friday game. Pumps and mag feed score double points! Mo beads baby!
4) buy raffle tickets. All the raffle money goes to charity, so even if you don't win you are doing some good
5) hydrate on the field is a good idea. I've found a small camel back really helps but any option that gets you water is worth looking into
6) pray for sun, pack for rain. Last year was terrible weather, ankle deep mud. Plan for that and hope for better (typically it's much better)
7) ABOVE ground fires only. Your camp fire can not be ON the ground because of the tree roots in the orchard. Bring a suitable camp fire pit
Honestly this is one of the best organized games I've ever been to. Dan and his staff do an amazing job, thank the refs and staff. Hell, they will even deliver firewood to your camp site
