    Tank Output - 800 or 1100 PSI?

New to the mag world, and was curious to know thoughts on tanks with 800 vs 1100 psi outputs. Seems like the 1100 psi outputs help the RT guns, and standard (68 classic in this case) would be fine with the 800? I'm doing a small/limited paint setup and have been eyeballing another 17/3k. Good length, never needs hydro, and worked well on my phantoms back in the day (ran 800 psi outputs then, I imagine 1100 wouldn't hurt them either...). Coupled with a stick feed or a small 50rd hopper, seems like a fun/light little recball setup when I want to take a break from the phantoms. Unless, of course, you'd somehow think a vertical 3.5oz and cci t stock would be a better idea...

    Thanks guys!

A level 7 automag was designed to run on CO2, so it should operate with as low as 600psi output. Getting around 500Psi may cause problems. 800psi is more than enough.

An RT needs 800psi or above to have high rates of fire.

The issues with classic valves and CO2 are greatly exaggerated. I think you'll be perfectly fine in most scenarios with a vertical tank.

I already have a 3.5oz for my phantoms, and a 9oz for my SL68. I was debating just trying out the 3.5oz and if it wasn't performing to my standards then I'd snag one of those 17ci tanks I like. I can also just keep the bike grip expansion chamber that's currently on it and run the 9oz as well. I guess I'll just have to buck up and start playing again to see how it goes!

I have run a classic valve mag in a very similar setup (13 or 17ci /3k @800psi, APP hopper or Empire spring feed). The 13/3k@800psi is just fine for a 100rnd or less rec game. I hit velocity without issue.
