Emag Valve in Classic Mag problem

Today I rebuilt my emag valve that worked fine, but orings were breaking apart..it was time.

This emag valve had some unusual things inside:
-there was a spring in the power tube(unlikely to be from the factory)
-there are two on/off oring(inner and outer orings) on top of the on/ff assembly around the pin, not a quad ring
-the power tube portion of the valve body was unscrewing

    There is a 750 pin

Anyhow, after rebuild I aired up. Immediate gush of air from the barrel. Also noticed the sear/trigger did not go forward.

I swapped a power tube spacer from a working valve, no effect.

I made sure the power tube assembly on the valve was snug.

When I pull the on/off assembly, the pin and orings are suck in the valve, the assembly itself comes out. Too tight?

Anyhow, I'm not sure where to even start now. All new orings throughout this entire thing and it worked fine before. In about ready to give up after so many hours now.

Did you lose your rail bushing?

      Bushing was not removed.

This morning I double-checked my work.

I noticed the regulator housing oring was very snug when I turned the velocity adjuster. I think I accidentally mixed up the oring with a barrel oring, though I thought these were the same.

Also I swapped the reg seat oring with the on/off and found it fit much better.

Aired it up and everything worked.

I am really low on air, when I aired it up again the problems returned.

I'm going to make the dive to a scuba shop on Friday and get a fill($20, what a racket but only gig in my area).

My suspicion is the power tube having been loose is causing this. From everything I read the comments of this happening were all emag valves. I noticed on mine all the threads were clean, no loctite. I gave mine a coat and then used strap wrenches with the valve wedged with sticky rubber.

I have no idea at this mind what the issue is. Once I have a full air tank I can test some more.

You are probably already aware, but if you're not, here is the AGD troubleshooting video.

Since you said that the trigger would not go forward, and there is air going down the barrel, the on/off is not sealing. Either the o-rings are not sealing (top of on/off pin and o-rings inside the cavity), or the trigger is mechanically limited/constrained from pushing that on/off pin up to seal against the o-rings. This led me to believe that the rail bushing was missing.
Can you post a picture of your rail and trigger/grip assembly?

Dont worry about it not being a quad ring. The standard Teflon ring works fine for a non-emag frame and the quad is oy.necessary if you're using email lowers. Not too tight, though I usually insert the big oring in the on/off and then the little oring before pushing the assembly in. I make sure the pin isn't stick up and into the orings like you have pictured. Then when it's all inside the valve, I push up from the bottom enough to allow the valve to be inserted into a body. Make sure you use a good amount of oil on those new rings.

As for the powertube, the spring is the old way the orings were held in place. You appear to be missing that oring for the bolt to seal. It should go oring, spring, then screw in the powertube tip. They were replaced with spacers at some point due to springs wearing out.

The power tube oring is inside. I did try a spacer from a working valve without any luck. I'm going to give it a chance with some air on Friday, if no luck then I need to contact agd or a tech to take a look at this.

I confirmed the bushing is in place. Took a picture showing down the body, can see the sear inside.

This worked fine before I did the rebuild on the valve. I'm using a intelliframe w/750 pin.

          Thoughts?

I am waiting to get air on Friday, but have replaced the orings again for the on off and also the body and also on the regulator nut.

Update, gun airs up properly and shoots nicely as of today, appears the disassemble and redo on the orings solved it.

            Thank you all!
