So, I've got this pneumag that I don't know how to price. It started off as a parts gun. When you buy and sell as many mags as I have over the years, you collect some really beat up pieces that you almost feel bad about trying to sell to someone else. But you don't want to throw them away either, because they do work.
Then one day two years ago, I needed an extra gun to loan to a friend, so I slapped this thing together. The Boomstick barrel is in great shape, and the valve is fine, but the body has some scratches. The rail has a bunch of its own idiot marks, and I used it to practice milling out the inside to save some weight. The foregrip is homemade, painted (not anodized), and fatter than anything else I've ever seen. The Angel frame and the ASA were cerakoted by Voodoo, but they were originally red, and it shows in spots. The Angel frame was first a mech frame, then a SPAR frame, and finally a pneumag frame, so it has lost of extra holes in it from previous mods, and the back of the frame has a notch cut into it so the gauges on short tank regs don't bump into it. I also modded the ASA, redesigning the internals so it's almost as smooth as a CP ASA, and it bleeds.
As it stands now, it has a Minimag valve (not the RT valve in the picture) without a Level 10. And it works great. It's really comfortable to shoot. It's still one of my loaners, but it hasn't seen a lot of action since I bought my Emeks. So I'm thinking about letting it go.
But like I said.....how to even price it. Mag prices have been insane recently. Five years ago, I probably would have only asked $200 for it. Beat up classic mags used to sell for $100 or sometimes a little less, and the pneumatic stuff adds another $100 in value perhaps. But now? Where do I start? $300?
Anyway.....I'm not sure why I'm even making a post about this. I suppose I could start at $400 and just drop the price every few days until someone bites. But I'm bored, and this is annoying me. I don't want to price the thing so low that someone buys it just to flip it for $100. But I also feel guilty asking too much for it. I doubt I spent $100 on the parts all together. So yeah....I don't know. Maybe I just need some emotional support.
