AGD & AA Parts Compatibility?

So I'm thinking of getting a vigilante that may need a rebuild and I already have a reg seat for an Automag. I remember reading something about if you use the reg seat from one in the other then you need to replace other parts also to have it run properly. Could anyone please elaborate?

make sure reg seat, pin, and spring are from same source for best results

You will need a reg pin to match the reg seat... so AA reg seat with AA reg pin, AGD reg seat with AGD reg pin.

I'm not sure. Not really necessary because Immortal Air is manufacturing new ones.

I see immortal air sells both the pins and seats. Should I bother with a new pin or just stick with the seats?

Is anyone familiar if the AA seat and pin will work in an ANS reg? I don't think the AA Reg I bought will work for my application.

If an Automag pin and seat work in an AA reg, then I don't see why the AA pin and seat wouldn't work in an ANS reg. I rebuild mine with AGD parts, so they're definitely AGD compatible.

Yes - GenX2 regs are Unireg clones. I've heard two different versions on who invented the Unireg, but it's too close in design to an AGD A.I.R valve to not have at least been influenced by AGD.

Any Unireg based reg should be compatible with Automag valves and vice versa... I spaced out on the question being about a Vigilante - they DO NOT share a design with the Unireg/variants, so are not compatible.

GenX2 regs are absolutely Automag compatible. I have an ANS Automag reg back on my GenX2 reg top, just for shizz and giggles, and all you need is the longer, more adjustable, washer stack to make it work. They take the exact same seals and seat. The setup works great on my 2000 Autococker. (I did this for the sole fact that I can say I "put an Automag on my Autococker. Worth it )

Necro time! Can anyone confirm that the ANS Jackhammer LPRs have the same seat/pin/spring compatibility as the above aforementioned regulators? I know it shares the same theory of operation.
