How many BPS can an RT mag shoot?

I am taking several newbies out to play this coming week so I am getting some of my semis up.and running. While tinkering in the basement I realized my RT micromag using an SHP output tank is faster than my Geo and Mq2 cocker both of which I currently have limited to 10 BPS. A shot timer on my phone says it is shooting roughly 13 BPS.

While I have no intention of speeding my mag up any more than it already is, just curious how fast an RT can go assuming a hopper can keep up.

Yep, Zakvetter was regarded as the foremost in cranking out high RT. IIRC his record was rougly 30 BPS, and that was with paint.

I had my Classic RT set up at 19-20bps with a 900psi output tank. "Verified" over a chrony.

I definitely could have had it faster with a higher output pressure, but as it was my Rotor emptied WAY too fast.

My buddy Dan let me use one of his he was feeding Air Rifle pressures too and it was hopper dumping a Rotor in no time. He asked if I wanted to try it and I was afraid I was going to accidentally cut somebody in half with it. It was more of a for science thing than anything. But it’s probably one of the fastest markers I ever shot. I have no idea what it was shooting but it was well over 20 you could tell just by the sound. It didn’t break paint at all and sounded really cool with the short barrel he was using. I wouldn’t use it in a game. But man those RT with bumped up Input pressures can really put the paint out. Especially for a setup with no eyes. Reminds me of the time I put my 08ego on uncapped full auto and cranked my rotor up just to see what it could do.

The slower/lower you go, the harder it is to get the RT to bounce. 11 or 12 is about as slow as I could manage reliably.

The effect is still there it just gets lighter.
