I bought some of these (https://www.ebay.ca/itm/362273656960...mis&media=COPY) stamped steel dovetail rails from eBay for my Automag. They make a sturdy mounting platform for sights. Not as pretty as classic sight rails but far more functional and I think better suit the sleek look of the 'Mag. The rails themselves are shallow at the edges so whatever mounts to them will need to have little 'feet' to clamp on (Dye Izons will not work).
These rails are meant to mount to air rifles or .22s but the round bottom works perfectly with the classic body (the curve on the rail isn't identical but it's close enough). I drilled mine and tapped the body for #6-32 but I suppose you could weld or epoxy these on. Only one screw is required for mounting since the curvature of the body prevents pivoting. I recommend you drill the body 1/4" from the back so you can tap it through the bottom hole for the on/off (full length feednecks and powerfeeds will likely interfere if tapping from the top). This will also allow for easier deburring of the interior. I used a 1/4" long screw with two stainless #6 flat washers underneath and I didn't need to file the screw down. Using a buttonhead instead of a full depth socket as shown may allow better clearance under sight bodies, but I think most sights will require a riser rail (like a PTP riser) to mount because of the location of the screw.
