    How do you glue in your foamie tips?

    I tried both super glue (the gel kind) and clear gorilla glue. Cleaned with acetone, then isopropyl and let dry. The super glue blew out while testing at home. Then I tried Gorilla Glue and let it sit overnight after clipping the wings off of the forward facing end of the foamie to reduce the chances of it catching the air as it blew out the bolt. Worked fine dry firing at home, but blew out the next day on the field.

    What does this illustrious group use to affix the foamie nubs?

    Just gorilla glue super glue. I will also clean with alcohol and take an old allen key and scratch up the bolt surface. That's been good for probably 2000 cycles for me.

        I use a glue that's designed for wetsuits it's a form of rubber cement so it has a little flex to it. seems to work great so far had any problems in the last year and a half since I put it on. rather than buying a bottle if you want we can find the time for you to come up and we can glue it on with my glue

          I might do that - I probably won’t field these for a while. The last batch of paint (HK Select) I had was awful and was being shredded by every gun I had, and my mags were no exception. I don’t have anything left at home for realistic testing.

          I will also say there is another gorilla superglue with a yellow top. I didn't like it nearly as much. Maybe i got an old bottle or something. I can't remember what it was, but i distinctly remember throwing it away and driving to the store to buy the blue one. haha

          superman Same here. The blue one works much better. Was sending foamies all over the workshop with the yellow one and other super glues.

        2 part epoxy. Let it dry overnight. It will never come off again. Make sure to clean and scratch up the bolt so the glue has something to hole on to.
