    automag wont fire.

Classic valve(welded) auto mag with smart parts magic box.
    Aftermarket double trigger frame.
800psi reg on paintball tank(full tank)
adjusted trigger pin length with no change(adjusted slack to small gap)
velocity screw turned until lightly snug.

I rebuilt my automag with a parts kit from agd. The gun won't fire when the trigger is pulled. Any ideas what might cause this?

When you first air it up, are you getting a click of the sear setting/valve airing up?

I don't think so. The trigger pin does move forward behind the trigger but i don't remember a click.

"velocity screw turned until lightly snug."

That sounds suspect ^ have you tried turning it in a bit more?

If you haven't noticed the click of the valve airing up/the sear setting, then your valve is most probably not set on high enough pressure. That click is VERY noticable - to the degree that I have inadvertently conditioned myself to feel happy when I hear it - since it means that I'm about to wreck faces...

You can either adjust the velocity screw before you turn the air on, or you can simply turn the screw with the air already on, until you'll hear the click, and notice the trigger setting. As was just hinted at above - lightly snug does indeed sound like it isn't turned in enough.

Most classic valved Automags chrono to around 280 FPS with approximately 3 threads exposed on the velocity nut. “Slightly snug” suggests to me that your velocity is way too low. Crank her up.

Turn your velocity up to the point it leaks or fires, if it vents, reverse direction until it stops. Chrono the marker as soon as you get the chance.

Try a different tank? I’d take a second look at your on/ off asa too.
