    Springing a mag trigger..

I know it's not needed but I've felt it done one few. Mostly Carter mags. I have my buddies to look at but don't necessarily want to reglue grips if it isn't something simple.

    So.....

In theory could I drill the back part of the sear and attach an extension spring down to a notch in the frame?

Yeah yeah hardened sear I have drills that will get through them.

I need the trigger on this to be less sloppy feeling and since I'm already grinding shims figured springing is the next move

Torsion spring around the sear pin or maybe a magnet in the rail/body?

The only problem I see is the sear isn't really connected to the trigger so if your problem is trigger slop that may not do anything for it

Yeah it's not but because I have modified the linkage it's pinned to move only one way.... It would give some resistance.

I need something more than the valve for return force strictly for haptic reasons

My main Automag have a spring between the sear and one hole in the benchmark frame, will post some picture soon on how it was done. Was already done when I got it and I like the feel so kept it since.

Here is how it was done on my frame
a pin was added to secure one side of the spring. No hole was drilled in the sear but there is a small 3/32 section protruding under the sear arm pivot and the spring is hook there.

This is a spring on a ult experiment. That might have been an existing pocket. It hasn't moved.
