    Double trigger questions

    So, I got my Classic Mag overhauled and it's shooting great. I'm no lightweight, however, the trigger pull is horrendously heavy.

    Would a double trigger significantly lighten the pull, and does anyone have a chopped CF frame for cheap so I don't have to butcher this one?

    Are you using a classic valve? Drop in an RT on/off. It'll reduce the trigger weight by half or more. I think the stock on/off is in the ballpark of 8 pounds, and the RT is around 3 pounds, maybe less.

      Otherwise, I don't think you'll get a while lot of improvement unless you get a frame with a long trigger stroke, like a Benchmark or something.

        Yes, it's a Classic Valve. I'll try the R/T on/off. If that drops the pull weight, I'll have nothing against keep the trigger arrangement as-is. Thanks!

          Do I need just the R/T on/off pin or will I need the entire assembly?

          Nevermind: Answered my own question. I will need the pin and the top and bottom.

                  The RT on/off probably wont give you the results you're looking for, but will help a little..

                    AGD's site shows out of stock.

                    Any reduction in pull weight would be fine, so I'm not expecting a super-light pull. This is a backup gun anyway, so I'm not going to invest a whole lot into it.

                      Who is supposed to play with the back up gun? I.e. is it a back up gun for you when your primary gun is unavailable, or is it more of a loaner? If it is a loaner, will the person using the gun even notice the difference? If it is for you - well, it doesn't take that long to get used to the Automag Classic trigger pull.

                      I'm not trying to be condescending or anything, btw. Mainly pointing out what might not have occurred to you.

                        It's intended for all of the above, plus just having a bit of variety. I'd be the one most likely to use it. This is my fourth Automag, so "getting used" to the trigger pull is done and payed for. Hard to get a respectable rate of fire with an eight pound trigger that is fairly long no matter who is using it. I don't shoot a lot of paint, but I do enjoy having the ability to do so if I deem it necessary (and fun). Everyone that would possibly use it is well-acquainted with firearms, so a crap trigger pull is noticeable by all of us.
