An update for everybody, completely disassembled the marker and cleaned every component with toothbrush, alcohol, soapy, water, and ultrasonic cleaner. Every single O-ring in the entire thing except for the tiny white ones completely disintegrated the moment I touched them upon disassembly. I sure hope that kit has every single O-ring that this thing needs! other than that it’s amazing how absolutely beautifully everything cleaned up, I still need to figure out how to strip this acrylic paint from the metal body though.

I always give extra care and attention to the regulator valve pin & spring as well as the body where the reg seat goes. That's really the heart of the marker. A bit of Flitz on a q-tip doesn't hurt either as long as you are sure to clean it off well afterward.
The "o" ring kit should have every single thing you need.
I'd try scrubbing it with Acetone first. If that fails to make any progress my father-in-law has several extremely nice bead blasters at his work. Just let me know and I could have him sneak it in. He's cleaned up mag bodies for me in the past and they've all come out fantastic.
