AKA Viking Question

I have a 2003 Viking I am getting up and running. I tested the pressure and was originally at 90psi, I adjusted down to 85psi. I tested and appears no reg creep as it holds at 85psi. I did notice when rapid firing, the pressure will bounce down to ~50psi when shooting. Is this normal movement in pressure? I did chrono it prior to adjusting down to 85psi and the velocity was all over the place: 275,265,270,250,260,275

Any advice or help will be appreciated!

Did you have a good paint to barrel match? 250-275 is only +/- 12 fps and bad paint or paint match could easily account for that.

I didn’t take note of that, good point. I did notice the paint had some dimples in it from storage. That may be my answer and I am over thinking it!

I have the same exact problem with mine. A lot of people say its normal. Some say it's an air passage blocked or a slow lpr. I had an internal lpr and switched to an scm then and scm 3. Never solved the problem. I rebuilt the ram cartridge and no help either.

Below is an LPR test I did on my Viking. The lower trace is the internal LPR vs the external JDS LPR. When firing I would see a similar dip in solenoid fed pressure that you observe with the stock LPR.
