Some of you may have seen me over in the facebook groups offering assistance in getting our beloved AKA markers back on the field. I am having a lot of fun breathing new life into these gems and I wanted to make sure to extend my services to those that don't participate there.
Please post here and drop me a PM if you would like to discuss further, but as a broad statement -- I offer full rebuild/diagnostic services and tunes. This includes complete disassembly, cleaning, replacement of every oring seal, and inspection of all parts. I set the regs to ideal pressures as measured on my toolkits and confirm appropriate recharge with no creeping, adjust dwell to mitigate fsdo and support good efficiency/consistency, and update other settings as required or per user specifications. I have a compressor and chrono on-site and tune on reball with no limit to # of shots required - I do it until I get it right. All orings are included and to further assist in matter, I stock many common wear parts (new from AKA). I can fix broken molex/harnesses, extract those pesky black oxide eye cover/tray screws that are so often stripped, chase threads, repair leaking solenoids, and address most anything else you throw at me. Turnaround time is quick and I will keep you in the loop throughout the process. I have been a part of this forum and community since the early 2000's, but for those discerning customers, I am more than happy to provide references and samples from my work. Below I have provided a pic of one of the ones I am working on now for a customer, originally built by one of the legends himself - Dan Voils (RIP). Long live AKA.
03/29/24 Edit: added a photo of an OG custom from factory JMJ excal, still with its original owner, that I just completed.
