I've built and tuned a half dozen or so Autococker type markers over the years, but all were either sliders with slots for the timing rod or hinge triggers. I've been asked to tune up a friend's ANS GenX which has a hole trigger plate.
He said the last time he used it (many years ago), it "just didn't fire right". I haven't aired it up or done anything except check the obvious stuff (like are the components moving smoothly or binding up anywhere). I know there is less room for error when setting the timing, but not sure how that changes the tuning/adjustment process.
Any tips would be appreciated.
