About to dive head first into a pump build

Earlier today I pick up this trilogy body on the bay. And for the longest time I've been wanting to make a pump trilogy, so seeing as I grabbed it for dirt cheap that's just what I'm going to do... A few things popped into my head like trying to quad rod it, seeing as I'm only going to use it as a designated pump gun. Seems a bit hard tho, the only kits I can find for it as of right now is the autocockerparts one, Wich I don't have a problem using but I'm almost certain he doesn't have a quad kit for the trilogy. One way or another I'm going to try and turn this into something nice, and the engraving doesn't really bother me (sleeper?) But who knows what I'll do with it, might put an auto trigger, we'll see

Also, should have mentioned as the listing on ebay mentioned, that's apparently not a splash but actually engraving.

Nice, looks like a good starting point. I haven’t used the Autocockerparts (Slice) trilogy kit, but their cocker kits are really good.

I’ve got several pumps and a quad rod isn’t necessary for a nice pump. The standard 3 rod (main rod, pump arm and stabilizer rod) are fantastic. I believe the Slice a trilogy kit comes with the “Gat Guide as a stabilizer.

Ahh ok so is there any really advantages with quad rods? I just notice that trilogies are already milled for it so it seemed like a good option

Quad rods are usually on guns with dual pump rods, so you need to modify your back block. I’ve never had an issue the a three rod kit, be it CCM, Inception, Slice or even White Wolf. I just don’t see you getting much advantage for the amount of effort you need to add a second pump rod.

Also, from experience with an Empire Sniper, dual pump rods can cause issues if the rods aren’t properly aligned and if make the pump stroke horrible. But with an Empire Sniper you can just throw a quad rod kit on it as Autocockerparts sells a full quad rod kit.

If you cut it to mini size the Inception mini kit works great and is very stable.

Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

Just make sure you like the pump handle on an ID kit. I’ve got a thread on pump kits in the pump section that discusses it.
