    Loader Recommendations

Looking for a loader for my Shocktech Autococker I'm working on. I'd love to find a mint, 12 volt revy in blue or clear to match the anno fade, but not really finding any.

Are gravity feed loaders okay? Will they keep up with a slide trigger?

I'm really digging the Planet Eclipse Lo-Cap "PAL" Loader. Holds 100 rounds, so size / profile is a little smaller than normal. And I can get it with blue shells. I may pick one up anyways since the cost is so low.

I can't imagine I'd need something as fancy as a Reloader or Halo type hopper, though they do seem to be pretty common now-a-days.

You want fast I suggest the $100 LTR rotor.

You will have to find a blue shell revvy used they are not produced anymore. There age and material make them brittle and feednecks break easy. You could find a good used clear revvy and dye it blue with Rit synthetic dye. (It will be more durable) but reality is the LTR Rotor is the way to go.

Gravity should be fine unless you’re getting feed blowback. You still see blue revs pop up from time to time. Another low cap option is the PBDNA JOLO. They feed gray and come in a ton of different colors.

I'm not exactly sure how well a PAL loader would work on a cocker. The pal loaders are meant to be used on the PE Etha 2 and Emeks, and actuated by a special system that helps agitate the hopper making it load faster on those guns. But besides that blue revys are a thing, it's just finding them, they aren't in production right now is the issue

If you're going for period correct or even just a rock solid loader the 12v revvy is by far the way to go. Since you'll eventually end up with a few of them you could probably find a black or clear on ebay or on the facebook groups to get you by and then hunt down a blue one. I have a blue one that I could part with but it's not in totally mint condition.

The ricochet hoppers were actually really good and I see quite a few of them on ebay for cheap. That's another one to look at. Pretty much the same operation as a revvy.

For a more modern loader I don't think you can go wrong with a Spire IR and there's color kits out there if you want to match it to your gun.

I would NOT recommend a PAL or gravity loader. It might work if you're very conservative with how you're shooting the gun but a Shocktech 'cocker can easily outshoot one if you rip off a fast string. It would be much better to get a proper agitated hopper and not have to think about your rate of fire.

This might be a little more than you're looking for, but you can get used Halos or Reloaders for pretty cheap. And you can still buy blue shells for them. Translucent blue even. It will certainly keep up, even if you get one that's bone stock.

I was also looking at the Reloader B2 on ANS Gear's site. Can get one, new, with clear-blue shells, for $100.

I use to have an original Reloader B when they first came out many moons ago, so I'm familiar with them.

My biggest concern with the loaders like this, is the right-feed on my body. Have to use one of those plastic elbows to connect the loader. If it was a vertical feed, I wouldn't have any qualms.

PTP makes some pretty indestructible ones (I tighten it HARD) and have had no cracks in 1.5 years, and they make them in colors too.

In that case, I'd get a used Revolution and just keep on the hunt for blue or clear shells. The Revolution is the best loader I've ever used on my autocockers and they're the lightest mass-produced motorized loader on the market today. Perfect for elbows.

                So what gabe said. VVVVV

I don't care for the look of the Ricochets but they are definitely underrated. Good hoppers.

As a note on the right feed issue, I've noticed on mine that I get double feeding if I use my Rotor on my right feed. It doesn't happen on the vert feed cocker I have. So if you go that route you'll want to make sure you have a good detent on the gun.

I would only run a revy or similar agitation hopper on a cocker especially if its a right/left feed. Force feds are way too heavy and fast to be nessecary on a cocker and usually end up causing issues.

Aside from force feed loaders causing stack clipping on chops on older guns (autocockers) I have a theory they also cause accelerated breech wear because of the stack pressing down on the bolt. I would recommend a gravity fed loader over a force fed any day.

Don’t the Proto Premo hopper come in blue? They feed great and come in the color you want.

edit: proto premo hopper is a good feeding hopper, it’s cheap and comes in blue. Just like the revvy you could out shoot it. So it depends on what you want in a hopper.

You want Fast you can’t and won’t out shoot an LTR Rotor.

Fast enough with that classic look I would say go with a revvy.

For a Cheap hopper that will just work all the time and never need batteries the Premo is a nice option.

Paintball DNA makes some really nice feeding Grav hoppers you could have them printed any color you want. They are not cheap but they produce the best feeding non powered hoppers money can buy.

I would not go Halo there battery life is so bad it’s more cost effective to buy a better hopper. I wouldn’t go with a Pal hopper they don’t feed that well without a Pal enabled marker.
