Source for bolt push pins, or alternatives?

    Howdy,

Two of my Cockers have detents in the bolt for pull pins. The other has a nice bolt, but it's the older style sans detent inside and using a push pin with the tiny ball bearings.

    1) Where can I get another push pin? The one I have is already missing a bearing.

    2) Short of threading the bolt for a ball bearing set screw or a zip tie, has anyone come up with other options for keeping the bolt attached to the back block?

A-5 Push pins will work. They can mark up your back block if you're not careful though.

Looks like a take down pin for a G3 rifle. The wheels in my mind are turning...

I have a spare old style pin. If I can find it you can have it.
I think Hellion360 was selling pins with o rings that wouls stay in on their own

I'll do some digging on Hellion's pins. Yes, if you have a spare push pin, send me a PM. Cheers!

Those are pull pins, for bolts with a detent (ball bearing set screw threaded into the back) integral to said bolt. Push pins have a button plunger on one end and ball bearings on the other. The bolt lacks any retention mechanism.

        McMaster.com has them I think.
probably need to measure your current one, sort and find the replacement.

McMaster should have something you can use. We use much longer ones in the factory for different things.
