How do I install an auto trigger

So I’ve got this pump cocker project I’m trying to finish up and one of the last parts is an auto trigger.
I’ve got a frame and the correct auto trigger kit from autocockerparts.com I had to drill out the hole slightly with a drill bit supplied in the kit, I’ve got the trigger plate and sear all install the cam pin pushed on and the actuating arm hooked to the pump rod but I can’t figure out how it needs to be so it works.

How do I have the cam indexed to drop the sear on the forward stroke. I’ve been fiddling with it for 40min.

That doesn't look like the right trigger plate. At least it doesn't look like mine from acp. I didn't think it has a hole for the timing rod.

Anyway incase I am wrong. I just install everything normally, then I rotate the drum piece so it allows the trigger to come fully forward. Then I lock it down with the set screw. Then I hold down the trigger and pump it. If it pushes the trigger forward when pumped I'm done.

Then I adjust the hammer lug so it releases correctly.

That was the plate that came with the frame I have changed it out for the one that came with the at kit just today.

Also you want to time it so that it fires at 1/8” before the back block touches the body for proper timing you will need to adjust the hammer lug up or down until it dose. Make adjustments 1/4 turn at a time.

You may want to call autocockerparts.com and see what they say about the cam position. I know they don’t usually include instructions for their products. Here is a good video though about timing your auto trigger on a pump gun. As chuck e ducky said the hammer lug might not be set right.

Alright, so I just did one ironically.

If you use a autococker parts auto trigger.

Loosely connect the black connecting arm to the pump arm with the provided rocker arm allen bolt.

Slide the cam pin in, and rotate it until the trigger can be fully pulled in, and hold in this position.

(Holding trigger still) Make sure pump handle is in the forward forward position.

(Holding trigger still) Tighten black connecting arm allen key to cam.

Tighten stainless allen key to pump arm.

From here your auto trigger is set at the full pump stroke position which is when the bolt is fully closed.

Now it's just a matter of how you want your trigger pull to feel, I typically just back my lug out so that it always catches, but gives me the least amount of trigger pull possible.

Oh because it’s universal you need center it first before to adjust the lug.

Honestly, I prefer using these universal style AT cams. Ive had issues with CCM ones unless paired with CCM components. With these you can use the procedure listed above and you're golden every time, even if the hole is drilled slightly off in the pump arm. It just allows more room for adjustment.
