Barrels for Cocker Shrouds?

I'd like to build an Autococker with a shroud and also a Python/Techt barrel back which extends the length of a given barrel by 3".

I know there are many barrels that have a ring in the appropriate spot to support the shroud, but are there any where that ring extends 3"+ back from where the tip of the shroud would normally be?

I already have a couple bull barrels but I'm looking for something a bit less unbelievably heavy for aluminum.

Thanks, I was hoping for a basic one piece with some old school flair that I wouldn't have to buy a whole kit for.

I have tried a few in the same configuration, using a Python back, and haven't really found one that has a knuckle and fits. I tried stock, Lapco, J&J (nickel plated brass), and Dye, none fit the bill. The best setup was an old bull barrel.

I would say an old bull barrel or an OG Smart Parts barrel (All-American, Boss) as they had thicker breech sections.

You do not need the knuckle though it makes things look more clean.

The front blocking being square is more important

I did a little digging and it looks like a Dye Xcel barrel would fit perfectly. Can anyone confirm the rear section has a 1" diameter?

On the same note I was looking at putting a gauge in the port on the bottom of the front block. Would this interfere with the shroud?

I have an auto cocker threaded Excel barrel at home. I'll try to check it out when I'm home from work today.

It does have a 1 inch back with a jewel that sticks out a little bit more so there might be interference.

Necro on this. A few more questions.

How long is the thick part of a JT/WGP stainless barrel back and how does it align with a shroud? Does it have a large bevel at the breach end?

Would a 2k Plastic shroud work with a stock Pre2k front block?
