I apologize up front for probably bringing back a ten year old topic that’s been settled. I’m getting back into paintball after a long(er) hiatus than I want to admit. I’m gonna build an autocoker, but don’t know if it’s worth my time to machine the body I have for an 11/16 valve. I have tried to search and find the input I’m looking for, but haven’t found anything definitive.
On the one hand, I feel like efficiency is not what it was, regarding paying for every fill during a day of play and feel a 9/16 is good enough. However, I would think there’s more advantages to an 11/16 valve, but could be wrong?
I want the cocker to easily shoot ~300 (+/-) fps without finagling. I know the new Dye Lazarus valve seems like “THE” valve right now, but am concerned about rebuilding it down the road, not the metal bits but the orings. Also, what kind of supporting mods are needed for the Lazarus/LP cocker builds?
Appreciate all your input!
