    Thoughts on Empire Resurrection?

In the past 6 months, I fell in love with paintball and autocockers again. Picked up an Orracle, ‘04 Prostock, and ‘98 RF. Pure joy.

I’ve been intrigued by the resurrection to see how Simon evolved the platform. What’s the general feedback / consensus on it? They don’t seem to pop up for sale very often.

    I like 'em.
they've got all the little details you don't really need but are nice to have.

When getting into empire and inception cockers, there's a few things to be mindful of.

You'll need to know which parts will fit your specific gun.

There were some tweaks and changes that can leave a person scratching their head. But, you can really keep it as is.

The ressy was rushed to market by empire/kee and who ever else. They really should have made a handful of guns and sent them out into the world for a couple of months.

They cheaped out on the orings so plan on replacing the orings. alot of them are starting to have issues with the cup seals failing. the hammer slot was 1/8" shorter than it should have been. The reg adjustment threads are pretty coarse so that means small turns make larger pressure swings. Ninja ball valve regs have issues with sealing against the brass piece in the on/off.

If i was going to pick up a ressy to play with forever, the things i would swap would be.... Inception hammer, any 11/16 valve that has a better cupseal, replace the regulator rebuild the pneumatics and swap the inception brass piece in the on/off. That is the minimum i would do to make a reliable and more user friendly ressy.

out side of those things, inception makes a couple trigger plates, i prefer the nos plate to the sas. I really like the rip frame as well.

Always appreciate reading your expertise in these forums. Sounds like I should bypass the ressy and just save up for one of your excellent pieces 👍

Keep your noise to the grind, my man. I have managed to pick up 2 "non functioning" Ressys in the last year for less than $100 locally due to failed orings and simple maintenance.

If you can find them for sub 200 they are %1000 excellent little projects.

All great advice in this thread. But the most import aspect of the Ressi has not been mentioned. Thetrigger truly feels different than classic slide frames. It takes awhile to become accustomed to.

I'd suggest buying for a good price and seeing if its for you. Then start replacing orings and other parts
