    3-way Switch Barb Thread Sizes

So the sticky above left me hanging a little bit. I have an old Shocktech Bomb that is missing a few teeth and I'm on the hunt for some replacement barbs. I have found a graphic that lists the thread size as a 3-56 barb. I've seen Bacci's video that says old/original ANS and Belsales Hollowpoint use the same threads. So my question is if anyone knows of other manufacturers using the same thread pitch on their switches? Inception Designs? Empire? What's the new ANS thread pitch and when did they switch (straight cylinder to the one with the swoop near the mounting threads)?

    Thanks Guys!

Are y'all really so incapable of reading the post? He's not asking for where to find replacement barbs or what the thread for them is, he's asking what other 3ways use the same size. FFS.

Lots of manufacturers use this same barb. ANS, TASO, DYE (old ones), Belsales, Shocktech, KAPP, ACI, etc. Inception/Empire valves use the same barb dimensions, but as far as I know, theirs is a China clone. If it looks the same, it probably is the same. Oh and ANS has never used a different barb. Swooped or straight, they're using the same 3-56 barb.

As a tip, if you're looking to harvest one from another valve, make sure to apply some heat first. Brass is soft and loctite can be strong. These are all sealed with loctite.

The Bacci info is correct, it is a 3-56 to 1/16" barb. It is manufactured by Clippard. They will gladly sell you 250 of them for $520 plus shipping. That's probably a few more than you need, but that's the source. Here's a link just for fun.

Thanks guys. Yes, looking to scavenge, but didn’t want to booger up a good switch trying to take a barb off that wouldn’t work anyway, or threading the wrong threads in the hole. I knew my old WGPs wouldn’t work.

I appreciate forumreader’s help and I’ll start digging through my parts boxes!

Pretty sure I've got an old stem-less ANS 3way you can have for shipping costs if you strike out.

He does mention being "on the hunt" for replacement barbs... implying he's looking for a source to buy them.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."
