    Shocktech Bomb 3 Way Leak

I just picked up a new Desert Fox. Shoots great, only the 3 way had a leak. I tracked down part of the issue with some help to be the orings in the ram. After replacing the orings and turning up the LPR a little, the leak is gone except when I hold the trigger back. I mmmm wondering if this is just a normal function of the three way or if I need to mess with some other things like timing or the orings in the 3 way itself. (Iโ€™m trying to trouble shoot and learn the Shocktech stuff before calling Shocktech a bunch).

Anyone have any thoughts on a few things to check to troubleshoot?

It is not a normal function of the 3way. The timing could be off, barb might be loose, the hose itself could be bad, or the o-rings.

The barbs and hose are good, I checked. So
possibly an oring or the timing you think?

All it can be at that point.

Any suggestions on timing given that it only leaks when the trigger is pulled?

Bomb 3 way use special oring, have you use those?

There was a procedure on the old forum on how do use a drill bit and standard oring to modified them for bomb 3 way shaft

turn your timing rod toward you so the oring moves in the direction of the trigger shoe.

Still leaks, remove 3way shaft and replace middle and front oring with shocktech red orings, or wrap two layers of teflon tap IN the oring groove, then place a the new 003 oring over the teflon tape.

                Shorten your timing rod.

                reaplace 3-way orings.

                  Side note to this issue.

If it's not leaking on resting position, and only while trigger is back. Does the timing work for you otherwise? Will the timing work if you shorten the trigger stroke just a bit? With a stop?

I have an ANS 3 way on a Dye hinge and the back travel is too far since the stop screw is currently missing. Marker shoots fine, has no issue aside from a hiss out of the 3 way because I am pulling too long.

Really informative post. Bombs are fine.

OP: Make sure you have spare O-rings on-hand. I use grease on all of my Bombs and other 3-ways.

Finally got some time to sit down and mess with it for more than 2 minutes. Turns out the trigger needed a teeny bit of adjusting. When I adjusted the trigger stop, the issue went away. I guess is you wanted to make a shorter trigger pull, you also have to adjust the timing with these. Good to know considering I was going to mess with the trigger anyway, now I'll just leave it alone

                      Thanks all!
