    VCOM Engine Leak Issue

Recently I purchased a second hand VCOM spool engine (Blue Cylinder) for my Bob Long VIS. When I attempt to swap out the back cap from the VIS engine (Black Cylinder) onto the VCOM engine there is a slight leak. I've tried to replace the back cap seal which notoriously will cause slight leaks but that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. Additionally I attempted to swell that o-ring with some Dow 55 which also did not work.

Attached are some photos to show the fitment of the back cap before it is tightened down. Opposite of the screw positions are two indexing holes that the back cap indexing pegs go into. Those seem tighter fitting on the VCOM engine and only appear flush with the cap one tightened down. I'm considering making those indexing holes slightly larger with a drill bit to potentially make the fitment better. I'm not completely convinced that that may solve my problem. Any advice or thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Upon further inspection, it appears that the bottom left alignment hole was not machined with the correct spacing. I'm going to attempt to slightly enlarge the diameter and hope for the best.
