melkson Kinda want to build it up like this one from warpig, ben mills played with it on the brass eagle team. See a red splash body on their too. Think id keep the stock shroud. And id order up some of those grips wthomas put on his silver eagle.

It looks broken, or incomplete... like it was assembled from the pieces of unrelated things... something assembled after an apocalypse.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it. But Rainmakers are some of the most awkward looking markers in existence. They exist in this weird grey area between beautiful and hideous.

Out of the box, a Rainmaker looks just fine. But people want to upgrade and mess with it, which always ends in an Einstein hairdo of a marker.

Wow very cool. But I personally cant stand a rainmaker without its pneumatics shroud. Looks weird exposed.

beyond the few king cobras that pop up. You almost never see any of the early brass eagles pop up for sale. Was a beat up poison in a big ebay lot awhile ago but thats about it that I know of.

You know what's funny about that? This was already the case 20 years ago. When people wanted a retro BE back then, they'd be able to rarely score a Poison, but that's it. I saw that someone had a Barracuda on PBN or on here (old forum), but had never seen it in the wild. Keep in mind that I played in the Toronto area, where brass BE stuff was made 10 years prior (I saw Mokals as field rentals). I guess the volumes for the old semis were just super low? Poisons were more common, Nightmares and Cobras more common still.

The black Stingray was my first gun, and the Raptor was my father's when I briefly got him into playing.
Unfortunately I haven't managed to hold on to any of these.

Really dig the California style rainmaker. 3.5oz definitely fits it alot better. That or a skiny 9 or 7oz

Early enough to have the rounded steel vertical ASA and green anodized tube plugs. If I recall, serial # was 596. The double finger trigger was added later, along with the rest of the upgrades.

Thats only the 2nd cabelas Raptor I've ever seen, mine being the other.
Mine had a stripped ASA, so I had it drilled and tapped for a a brass 1/8 npt adapter mounted right onto the body.

I always assumed all the green ones had the right power feed and then everything else was a left power feed. This serial number obviously fits in with the early green models.
