Just got one and would like to know if it is safe to dry fire. I remember hearing that some BE guns (raptor i think) can be damaged.

Never had an issue dry firing any of mine. Valve isn’t brass like a Raptor.WTB Micromag Foregrip, ICD Sight Rail, Purple VL2000Comment

The reason the raptor got damaged is because the hammer had a nub on its face. That nub mashed into the valve body, deforming it and causing the valve stem to bind.
If your Poison has the same nub on the face of the hammer, then yes, it could theoretically cause the same problem. Disassemble it and have a lookComment

It’s not too scary of a gun. Once you’ve get past the cycling of the side cocking mechanism. That was the main reason I tapped the underside of mine for a grip. I haven’t fired it a bunch but haven’t had any issues after tear down and cleaning a couple years ago.Comment
