    Pair of CCI Phantoms

Just won these on eBay. Not sure if I was bidding against anybody here on not.

Look to be early ones, with no holes in the trigger guards for vertical adapters.

I know one needs a take-down screw, but they look pretty good and complete other than that.

Will be picking up a pair of rebuild kits for these and giving them some much needed lovin

Double barrel build. You know you want to.
I could have sworn I had something important to put here...

Not gonna lie, that was one reason I bid on them. Though they are both right feeds, so not sure if that would change anything.

Oh, and he told me he has a few more he is going to list. Has another pair up already.

Maybe we could do a MCB double-barel-build-party lol

Got them in. Very happy for what I paid. Need a deep cleaning and some new O-rings, but overall very nice.

They do have the newer internals, which I was a nice surprise.

Old hole-less trigger guards, ASA grip inserts, both right-feed bodies.

One will be re-released into the wild once im done, haven't decided what im going to do with the other.

They probably don’t need much phantoms rarely stop working. Clean em flip the cup seal and go to town. I was watching those on eBay as well. Not a bad deal for what you got them.

            So, some things I noticed.

            1. One had a shot nylon set screw in the bolt. Not a big deal, easy to replace.

            2. One was missing a take-down screw, will need a replacement. On that note, the remaining 3 are missing the friction o-ring on them. Again, no biggie.

            3. One had some slight rust inside on the bolt. Looked like it came from the body insert. Will need a little cleaning, but again, no issue.

            4. Noticed that both had missing pump return springs. Not sure if those were added later or not, or of both went missing at some point in their life.

            5. Both trigger guards are undrilled for a vertical adapter. I believe this was added later, but could be wrong.

            6. Takedown screws and pump rod is blued steel. My newer Phantom is stainless. Not sure when that switch was made.

            7. Looks like they have the newer, shorter power tube, but the hammer is the older profile, not the "barrel" shape like the new ones (guys on the phantom FB page told me about these 2 things).

            8. Barrels have the straight grooves in the end, but no hole drilled. The surface is interested, doesn't feel smooth and glossy like anodize, almost a little textured. Has some scuffs and black marks I can't seem to get off. But the bores looks good and smooth.

They will both get a rebuild (springs, seals, orings), some cleaning, and some lovin. One will be released into the wild for someone else to enjoy. I dont need 3 phantoms right now lol.

That Nylon setscrew just keeps the TPC from moving around on yah. People try to tighten them up with the TPC in place and they strip. Proper way to set that up is to take the TPC out turn that Teflon grub screw in so that it just barely enters the bore of the bolt. Then put the TPC in so it creates a lil resistance on the TPC. Mike added an O ring to the Newer TPC to do the same thing and prevents the need for the set screw.

Those internals look mint nice snag.

Those might be the nickel plated barrels

That might explain why they feel heavier than they look, for a basic aluminum barrel. They measure 11" exact with the threads.

I tried scrubbing them with the scrubby side of a dish sponge (one that is safe on non-stick pans to reduce the risk of damage) and it didn't really do anything.

There was a lot of 2 Phantoms from a estate auction on EBay up for bidding today. It was relisted and I lost on the bidding. It was up to $193 after I bid $190 exactly at the 1 second mark lol.

That was the same seller. I guess he got a bunch and was selling them off in pairs. I think those were his last 2.
