I’ve always preferred a UC kit for the same reasons mentioned above. It’s more comfortable/ natural feeling for me and more importantly it allows me to sight down the barrel which allows me to achieve greater accuracy, especially when snap shooting.

I kind of trained myself to use the over the barrel handle because I like the simplicity of the thumb screws, and I didn't want to buy multiple undercocking kits because I like having my Phantoms set up the same (and I have too many).

I would feel pretty safe in saying that the majority of the Phantoms that my teammates and friends have are now running the dual rod kits.

I love the Phantom undercocking kits, but they dont allow for the front thumb screw. So here is my undercocking over the barrel solution. Sorry for the shadowed pics

Damn. Why haven't I seen this in person? I like the idea.

I’m glad you guys mentioned the from thumb screw, that’s what I didn’t like about the UC as well. I ended up making an over the barrel that sits lower and wider like the undercocking. With the brass shim, its checks off all the boxes for me.

McMasterCarr sells a longer thumb screw you just have to trim it to length. Well threaded rod and the thumb wheel that is used on the Gargoyle. All you got to do is red lock the thumb wheel to some threaded rod cut a lil longer. I just never thought it was that big if a deal losing it.

I have always liked the phantom with a barrel wrapped grip. Always. I have under cocking kits to make them feel more like stacked tubed guns but I still like round the barrel pumps on single tube guns.

I made this over-barrel design, and it is the best ergonomic feel for me. I DO like the under-cocking kits too though. My problem is that I just suck at shooting Phantoms for some reason
