DW FiburX - anyone use one on their Phantom?

I'm thinking about grabbing one - most of my stuff is Cocker thread but being able to buy a $15 adapter to use one barrel across multiple markers with various threadings is appealing.

I've read some Phantoms can have tolerance issues with the adapter? Anyone have that experience and/or know what to look for to make sure it will fit?

I had an old phantom body that didn’t accept a standard phantom barrel.

I actually had this exact problem with my DW barrel as well. I took some sand paper to it (the adapter) and took the threads down a bit, and thinned them out a bit as well (test fit a few times). Worked out just fine for me.

it was very minor amount of sanding needed, you could just start to see the aluminum through the anno for mine

It will work on 99.99 percent of threaded barrel phantoms.

the fibur x adapter doesn’t fit under a stock pump handle annoyingly. You could modify the pump. The older fibur that is not multi gun works with stock pump, with some low friction tape under it if you care to protect the barrel.

Funny you should mention that. Back in 2015 at Oklahoma d day I stopped by a booth that had the new fibur x when it came out, picked it up handled a little and then discovered that my hand was bleeding. The threads were so sharp it gave me razor cuts that I didn't even feel

I ran the original fibur for years, just switched to the x-8 have enjoyed both
