    Sending for anodizing

Sending my phantom off for anodizing and I want to make sure I remove everything that might melt. I’ve removed the valve from the rear air piece, is there anything else inside there I might need to remove? Do I need to try and remove the little nut piece that the frame screw goes into? Any info would be greatly appreciated

Yes All the stainless threads need to be removed as well and re set when you get it back. There are tools for removing them and you can buy them from extreme if you damage ore lose them.

Do you know of a video or forum post that says how to remove the small frame threads?

I heated mine with a torch and used screw extractors.

They’re actually more of a threaded insert. I would order new ones from Xtreme. Shoot them an email I’m sure they would be happy to help you out with what you need.

I’m not sure the size easy out a set is like $11 on Amazon I would just grab a set and find one that fits. Heat and twist them out.

The insert kind of looks like this but small it’s not a helicoial like you would use on stripped out threads.

Airsoldier.com has them, too. 1/4-36 threads on the OD, IIRC, and machined from stainless bar.
