Seeking input - P90C (P90 Chassis) Phantom stock

With the PR6 pump finally deemed good enough to release, I can now return to trying to complete a design that I've been tinkering with since early 2014. Specifically, a P90 style grip/stock for an AR converted to use on a VSC Phantom.

I've had an early version or two in one of my bins of weird stuff at SPE that some of you may have seen, but the concept has been refined since. Key features are:
    • P90 style grip (obvi)
    • Printed out of ASA for durability and outdoor use
    • Integrated 12-ish round feed tube (butts up against the rear of a CCI SC feed block)
    • Onboard storage of three 12 grams by means of magnets
    • Designed for a Magpul MOE buttpad (but now that TPU filament exists, will have a printed buttpad instead for cost reduction, yet the Magpul will still fit)
    • Buttpad swivels out of the way (again, magnets) for reloading (and has a rear groove to accommodate a ball retainer)

(clear print was simply to ensure I wouldn't have any issues with print envelope on my current machine - it juuust fits)

Comments? Any interest? Or is it just too 'out there' for anyone's tastes but mine?

      Count me in!
is it VSC valve or could we put a straight lever changer?

        Very cool concept.

I guess everyone has difference preferences, but my shoulder goes about 8-12" lower than the current location. Seems to me that this kind of stock requires pressing one's face up against it to sight down the length - which isn't possible with a mask on.

I think Siress is on the right track here. Maybe print an elevated rail so you can toss a red dot on this beast.

          super cool concept though!!

Do you “rotate” the butt plate to feed into the stock? Can this tie into one of XEMON ‘a double sided feeds?

ASP-90! Looks cool can’t wait to see what you got planned for it.

PinnaclePOV The aesthetics are different, certainly - while the Phantom is a rather spindly looking gun compared to a Sniper, this stock certainly chonkifies it a bit and gives it more of a bullpup look.

XEMON Designed for VSC valve body. Extending the cavity far enough to accommodate a lever would cut into the recesses for the 12 grams. I could potentially reduce the count to two and move them downwards (aligned horizontally), but the number of people interested in that configuration would be pretty niche for what is admittedly already a pretty niche product.

Siress You're not wrong, and 'shouldering' probably isn't going to be happening much. I couldn't very well just leave the back of the 'stock' as something that didn't look the part, though. That being said...

JeepDVLZ45 Yes, an elevated rail would be ideal - I'm sure people have already made such items to clamp onto the CCI SC feed block (which this intended to butt up against). Yes, the butt plate rotates to open up the feedgate - third render image shows exactly how. 4 magnets keep the plate in place normally, but rotating it catches on 2 of the magnets. While this could very well tie into one of XEMON's single feeds, trying to make it work with a double sided feed would pretty much require starting from scratch.

          Chuck E Ducky 'ASP-90', dang, that's catchy...

Makes sense about the lever valve, it looks awesome as is 👍

When they're available I'll definitely get one for myself and make changes to my feed or make an adapter to use this awesome stock with the spring feed.
if a simple adapter does the trick, I'll happily share the file with you if youre interested 👍
