    Phantom check valve source

Anyone know who puts these together or can anyone give me a parts list or maybe even just a photo?. There don't seem to be any online.

🤔.....Pretty sure it's mainly, a spring and a disk of gasket type material, or something close to that. That would be placed between the vasa and 12g changer.

    Edit...

The disc goes, on the other side, of the spring though.😉 Opposite to this...I

I'm sorry, how does this work, and what's its purpose?

Keeps pressure on the valve on a change out. So the marker will fire a shot even tho a 12g is not in it. You pick up a lil efficiency as well because it vents less C02 on a change out.

Yes, to Carp's photo. When the bucket is pressurized the gas in the 12g has no problem overcoming the spring to enter the marker. When the bucket is removed, the spring and the gas pressure inside the marker push the gasket against the opening and keep it sealed so you get one or two shots still with the gas source removed.

Thanks Carp! I wonder if I could just cut out some gasket materiel with a paper hole punch. I've got some tinkering to do...

Its much smaller than a paper punch you might be able to make a die from something like brake line tubing. I'll try to remember to measure my check valve.

One word of caution if you put one of these in it will hold two or three shots for hours after you take out the 12gm. So if had one installed in a marker let's call it a gargoyle. That marker was then sold and the buyer didn't know it was in there and played with it took out the 12gm drove home from OSG 3 1/2 hrs. stopped at a friend's house for a beer along the way got home realizing the marker was still cocked and they pulled the trigger they would make a mess in my I mean their kitchen.

I purchased a few pre made prior to MCB going down. I just can’t find the link to it now. It uses a pen spring and a small rubber disk. You drop the disk in the top of the bucket changer then place the spring on top it’s held in place by the pin that pushes open the regulator pin valve in the ASA when you install the bucket.

Classic haha! I went to the hardware store this morning and just brought the 12 gram adapter. One o-ring, bearing ball and spring later and she works! First Try! Thanks for the input everyone!

So the bearing is the (gasket) piece held against the 12g adapter hole by the spring? Whats the oring for?

Oring seals the ball bearing to the inside of the piercing pin assembly. Pressure on it’s open. Pressure off ball bearing seals on the Oring from the pressure trying to escape when venting a 12g. Trapping a shot or two. Some use a small sealing disc some use a ball bearing and Oring to seal.

Exactly like Chuck E said. Drop in O-ring first (with oil) followed by the bearing and spring.
