    Regulator question - sanity check...

    Hey all

Working on a CCM reg that has a slighttttt leak down the 3/16th reg adjustment set screw. We're talking 1k PSI leak every 8 hrs, but enough to piss me off.

Brand new internals from CCM, new o-rings, applied grease to the piston seat o-ring (113), yet still having the leak.

It HAS to be the piston seat that would cause a leak in the lower housing via the set screw, right?

The other hypothesis I've heard as well is the inner wall of the actual lower housing itself is grooved/damaged, allowing a slight air leakage.

I think my next step is to try a larger o-ring on the piston seat (114 vs. standard 113), but wanted to get input from the brains here first.

    Thanks in advance.

Is the bore scored or pitted?

This is the one you just got with the fancy Ano?

Your using grease right? Try some Dow 55 on it.

To the naked eye, no—no scouring or pitting I can visibly see.

I’ve been using Dow 33 but will try Dow 55
