    Regulator options

I’ve done some reading. Lots of options and most of the hpr would be just fine. I was hoping to get options and thoughts on why someone would choose one hpr for their T2 over the others. As of right now, CCM isn’t offering/ is out of stock for regulators for the T2. I got a hold of a T2 that has an after market reg that I just don’t like. It has a gauge on it etc, doesn’t look as right to me.

What would you guys suggest for a reliable, consistent, and easy to service reg for a T2?

    AKA Sidewinder or CP.

Could you give me a little more reasoning as to why? I’m more tempted on the aka sidewinder at the moment.

Spangler being a pump gun any reg will work fine. The sidewinder is one of the best available for any fun. It's reliable, easy to service, has great performance , is still in production, made in the US and looks great.

I don't know about sidewinders being particularly easy to service...
But it is a good match to the looks, exceptional performance, available, and easy to hold.
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

Hellion360 you make some good points. I was looking at the inception designs hpr and it has nice features to take apart. Not so much on the aka sidewinder.

Spangler Inception is one of the most user serviceable regulators.
It's range is narrower though. Many ID regs don't like to go under 200PSI without flipping over a shim. I have had some go down to lower pressures below 100 and some that won't. It depends on variance in spring production. Flipping the shim does not seem to impact performance negatively.

Hellion360 I have heard that about inception regs. If it is going on a T2 it seems that 300-350 psi for the hpr is the sweet spot area. So going below 200 psi shouldn’t be a problem. Yeah ?

Just use what you got till you find a used T2 reg. I suggest the full size T2 reg. The more complete the CCM is the better it holds its value.

The CCM regs are great just set them and forget them. The newer short regs require lower input pressure when tuning. I’m not a fan of that personally. The Full size regs don’t choke at High pressure so you can run 12g through them if you ever wanted. Any of the CCM regs will work on your T2 so it doesn’t have to be a “T2 style” when ordering new there were several different reg design options that were all cosmetic. Most went with the classic T2 style but you don’t have to.

As for aftermarket the only reg I buy aftermarket is AKA they make the best regs on the market. My personal favorite it’s the 2Liter+ but the Sidewinder comes in several different length shafts so you and get the look you want. The CP has great performance and are cheap. I don’t like the look of them personally. The Fitting out the bottom annoys me and the shape I feel does not flow with many designs. I also don’t like the way they adjust from the side. They work great tho. I would rather wait out on a CCM over a CP if it were me especially if you have a reg that works already.

Aftermarket CCM builds are fun to.. it’s a pump so find one that you like the look of. The high flow of an AKA is over kill but they make a great product.

I just realized that I have a Palmer stabilizer that I have had on an old spider for about 20 years. I should rebuild it and se how that works. Anyone have any thoughts on the Palmer stabilizer? It use to be “good”.

That’s a great reg. I prefer the stabilizer over the fattys.

Take the time to sweet spot the reg for optimal performance. Lots of YouTube Videos check out the TFPumpenstine ones they are great.

        Great reg.
Just a simple well made design.

Reach out to CCM directly. They had raw regs available when I emailed, that aren't listed on the site. They may have gotten them ano'd by now but just reach out to see what they have
