Can anyone confirm that the eye pipes sold for rails now have red detents instead of the original orange ones? I bought one off eBay and one from Dye and both are telling me it fits but it takes quite a bit of effort to get it to fit in my gun. This is the one I’m talking https://shop.dyepaintball.com/products/parts-pipe-dm9 but unlike the picture the one I received has holes in the detents where they attach to the pipe.

The 2012 Reflex Rail should use a 3rd gen eye pipe that takes the red detents. This is the same eye pipe as the DM8 through DM15. There should be holes in the detents that match to tiny pegs molded into the eye pipe. Make sure the holes and pegs are aligned and fully snapped in. The eye pipe ring should be fully seated into the groove and should not project above the ridges on either side of it. Detents not fully seated/snapped in will prevent the eye pipe from properly reinserting into the body. That picture on Dye's website looks old. Newer exampes of the 3rd gen eye pipe will have a single peg on each side with a corresponding hole in the detent.
