Is the Emek 3M PAL compatible?

    Dudes,

I'm considering my first Eclipse marker in more than a decade.

ChuckLove mentioned the 3M would meet my needs in another thread. Looks like solid advice.

I'm not finding mention of PAL compatibly on this model. Can anyone confirm or deny this option?

From what I know, no. If you want a Pals ready marker you should just get the regular emek 2 which will continue production, qnd will have Pal compatibility. This is for for rental fleets more than anything.

The em3k is marketed towards frequent players which it has been determined 9 times out of 10 times they will pull the PALs and put one of their hoppers on it anyways.

Yeah, for non-rental uses, I find the use of the PAL surprisingly niche. I have both the large and small PAL setups. I used the small one for limited paint. However, any game that allows semi-auto usually allows larger and even powered loaders. I decided I liked the inception bodies more than I needed the PALs. The APP 50 still works for limited paint.

The 3M has an aluminum clamping feedneck it’s not PAL compatible. It’s designed to be used with a power hopper. Only marker Pal compatible is the Emek. I don’t even use my low cap Pal hopper on my emek. I find the JoLo from PB DNA to feed faster and better. FS 17ci Dye UL and a JoLo is so dam fun in the woods. It’s SC Phantom light and tight but will still rip if yah need to.

        For 10man I run a $100 LTR

          I have a few rotors.

It was a "just in case" notion in the back of my head.

Nope, the Etha 3M has a non-PAL aluminum feedneck. PE has dropped PAL compatibility for everything except the EMEK/EMF100. I think they found that only rental fleets made much use of the PAL hoppers. I have the one that came with my EMEK rattling around in the backup/loaner box and just use a Rotor.

The Automag: Not as clumsy or random as an electro. An elegant marker for a more civilised age.

My back-up loader for my Emek (and my other markers) is the Speedster, as I too run a Rotor on it. Like Spider! did, I opted for the FLE body on my Emek and thus could not use the Speedster anymore. That was a trade-off I could easily live with.

Besides, my PAL worked fairly well when I was running my Emek completely stock (save for an upgraded barrel of course... that sound signature, bleh!), but could not keep up at all as soon as I upgraded to a Fang trigger. I'd imagine it would be even worse with an upgraded valve (like the hAir I installed afterwards). Since the Emek 3M comes with the FL-3 valve and an adjustable trigger, there was very little point in making it compatible with the PAL.

Incidentally, PE is running a great deal where if you buy an Emek 3M, for an extra $40 you get a Speedster.
"Aren't you getting too old for this??"
                "Nope."

Can confirm Emek easily outshoots the PAL hoppers with an upgraded valve. I have the hAir valve and the PAL function is useless. Threw a Rotor on it and no issues.
