BT-TM15 Teardown

Continuing my trend of taking things apart abs taking picture, here’s the disassembly of a BT TM15, which is a milsim take on the Mini. So taking a small light package and making it huge for some odd reason.


Next step is remove the few off bolts you may otherwise miss.

1). The select fire switch does not need to be removed prior to separating halves. Large round bolt with an Allan head is the detent (one if each side). They do not have to be removed either.



Next you’ll need to flip the gun over and remove the small Allan holding the mag release. (Mag holds battery btw.)

And finally there are two more small Allan heads under the grip frame that have to be removed as well.



Now you must remove the shroud cover that holds the stock in place. There are a few plastic pieces in here with various job. On slides to cover the velocity adjustment and another is a spacer to help hold the stock securely. (more pictures on this further on)

Now onto the good stuff, finish removing all the bolts around the gun (ignore the ones of the rails) and remove the body clamshell. Despite the size of the gun the internals are quite compact.

To remove the core of the gun there is one screw and wire connection above the mag well. Unhook the wire, remove the bolt and lift the core out.

Now to remove the bolt and internals remove the silver screw at the base of the main section of the core. Don’t lose this. It’s a specific screw that I imagine will be a pain to replace!



Now hook an oring into the velocity adjuster and pull. Back end shop pop right off and give access to bolt and engine. Clean ‘em up, likely grease and reverse steps while speaking like Sean Connery.



Pretty easy to work on. Usually bolts are pretty gummy and need a good cleaning.

I snagged one of these at D day for 2 bags of paint from a dude. Gun was a little rough and didn't shoot. Turned out it was just the trigger that needed adjustment. Fresh rebuild with some new o rings and she's shooting like a champ!! They are super quiet with that barrel shroud. I think BT just barely missed out on making the ultimate woodsball marker. If only It could have a true mag feed 😕.

This is my second one. Both times purchased with rip kits for under $100 CAD, cheaper than Tippmann A5s!

I have a couple of these. I havent been into em for a bit, but I dont recall having ro rempve the selector switch to disassemble.... maybe I ought to go clean it up for a refresher.

Correct, selector switch does not need to be removed.

Fyi, I have scour pads packed into all of my shroud baffles. And it makes it cheater quiet.

I was wondering about this. Seems odd to have a ported barrel and the enclose it in the shroud. I usually end up finding a lot of paint in those baffles

Thats the best part about the 3m scrubbers. They dont absorb the paint so they clean easily

I read this somewhere. May have to give it a shot myself 🤣.
