    EM1 Questions, please help

I bought an EM1 "Project" marker, and I have some questions!
1st just below the main body there are two passageways, what are they for? one was blocked on each end with set screws, and the other one was open on both ends. Should I get screws for the other side also?

I bought a new frame from iisports and Its different a bit from the one that came on the marker. the one that came on the marker has some kind of switch or fitting in the back of it and I have no clue what is for. i got the new frame because the one that came with the gun was in rough shape. Maybe it was a replacement push button on/off or a toggle for something.

Not only was that switch not present but the board in each one is different, What the difference between them besides one is much larger and has more Dips to switch? The original board is on the right. If it matters the original fame on/off switch was busted off, another reason I bought a replacement.

Not familiar with the em1 but that type of passage is usually for lateral air passages such as in the bad drawing attached below. Basically they drill all the way threw and plug the ends to make an internal pipe.

looking on the parts diagram I don't see set screws listed or shown.

Well, when I get to that point, I guess I'll just put a couple set screws as plugs in there.

The screws probably aren't on the diagram as they were probably loctited from the factory and considered "permanent".

i have one at home i could probably dig up.
for the boards, its probably just 2 different versions. again though, i can take a look at mine.

mine looks the same. 2 holes in the front with what looks like one blocked. hard to tell.
2 holes in the back as well and one on the left side.
no rear rocker switch on the rear.
i gotta look at the board as well.

That's what I needed, I figured out the switch, it was a cob job instead of replacing the OG switch whoever wired in the rear switch, and the board from what I have gather from looking online is an updated board. A appreciate your help

The rear switch is a homebrew relocate for the flimsy switch they used in the stock tray. My Tom Cole EM1 has a similar setup.

      ok, so on further inspection:

(looking down the barrel) the front right hole is threaded. the front left is open. no threads either.
(looking at the back) the rear left hole is threaded. the rear right is open.

you should be able to shine a light though the open passage and see it on the other side. probably just a vent.

      for the board.
my board has the 8 dip switches like the one in the frame. a 24pc IC on the right and a socket for another up top.

idk if it matters but the 1st 3 dips are on and the remaining 5 are off.
