I am working on installing a new Morlock MK3 board in my droid in hopes of bringing modern board functions to this beast. Anyone else attempting this conversion or already completed? I will updated as I get things completed. Hopefully, just a couple days to complete install as I just need a few hours after work to figure out mounting and soldering wires together.

Wired it up tonight. Did not mess with the eye wires just yet. With just battery, trigger switch, and noid all seems good. Programming board is super easy. Not sure I care for the turning it on with a simple trigger pull. Wish it was at least a pull and hold or something. Also, I set it to ramp, but when turned on it always goes back to semi. All other settings hold. Would be annoying playing an event that allows ramping. And having to get it set correct constantly. Guessing that may change with updated software in future. Overall the droid appears to be able to support modern legal modes. Yay

You can wire in a power switch. There's a spot on the board right next to the led that looks like it is jumped when Curt assembles them. You just need to remove the jumper and run a wire to the center and outside poles of your power switch. Then you should be able to turn the thing dead off when you put it away.
Here's the diagram:

For the mode change when it goes to sleep, you can change the “Default Fire Mode” on the top right. However it would be nice to remember the last mode.1 Photo

I have not actually used the software yet. I just grabbed the package as it came in the mail along with my soldering iron kit to bring with me on this work trip so I could install it. Good to know the default can be changed though. I will always know before hand if playing semi or ramp so can set correctly before hand. I do not have the USB cable needed with me so guess I will take a look at this once back home.

Was playing a mech event today, but at end of day had to break this one out to test. Quick full hopper at 15.5 ramping and was perfection. Eyes worked perfect, and gun ripped. Nothing but mech on calendar for awhile, but excited to use this one in future.

I hate to admit this.. but your gun is the first I've heard of to actually use {that version} of the eye software in anger. I dropped in the original implementation I spent (years?) perfecting and hoped it would still work. Of course I tested it as best I could with my markers but yours is the first field trial by a customer that I've heard of. Would love to see a video!

https://drive.google.com/file/d/16aPKoMzjSucOoby92K0GkxbmVtr-oN_X/view?usp=sharing The ball break was not a chop. Just run of the mill barrel break from what is some incredibly fragile and now at this point several months old of just being a open bag in my basement. If I would of realized it was just a barrel break would of let it rip for awhile longer, but was worried I was making paint soup.
Eyes did their job of slowing things down as gun began to outrun hopper. Will try again at some point when I have someone else available to hold the camera so I am not trying to one hand the gun.Last edited by JCC; 09-03-2021, 02:12 PM.

Idk how I missed this? Glad to see you replaced the dead Tadao! Were the other boards I sent dead too?

Broke this thing out for the first time in awhile. Have not even charged the battery in a year and it still had enough charge to run all day. I let it rip again with full hopper and rod set to 30bps ramp. Eyes slowed it down to what my CTRL could actually feed and no breaks or chops.
Likely to grab another Morlock board in near future.
