NOVA NX1 Sentinel Back block Threads RAW

Make sure to Loctite your back block on NOVA NX1. The threads are raw due to where the overseas anodizer is holding the part. Being that's it still raw un-anodized the metal is soft.

Haha! Man, that hole isn’t on the edge, it IS the edge.

racking the part there wouldn't make all the threads raw... something else happened. looking at it, I'd bet the backblocks came from china without threads and they tapped them.

Looking close the first part to is anodized. but that could have been a debur prior to ano. Do yes i can see that they were not taped prior to ano.

        That could be the case.

Anodizer could have racked it by threading it onto the rack. Another possibility is that a bubble fromed inside the hole during the anodizing process. Ive hade that happen quite often

Honestly I’d be more concerned with the fact that there is so little metal on one side of the hole that you can probably see light through it.

Loctite will fix the raw aluminum issue. So will clear acrylic.

It is also China 6061. Might have the same issue the old Freeflow china bodies had with the threads not holding up well. I think Frmrspec is right, I bet the overseas factory that made them forgot to tap them. I would imagine Nova will fix that with the next batches.

The word is that they WERE anno'd. They problem is that it caused the ID for the threaded hole to be too tight so they needed to be retapped.

Just looked at the back block on my NX1 Pump... Also retapped.
